Two of our members, Vice-President Brian & Secretary Sue, attended the Traveston Dam Anniversary and Museum opening at Kandanga on Sunday to rally support from Save the Mary campaigners. They were very pleased with the outcome as signatures flowed onto our petition forms and they received inspiration and support from the Mary supporters along with the general public. Awareness of our campaign was given further support on channel 7's evening news on Monday night as reporters from the weekends festival interviewed Brian and highlighted the point that there is a new fight to protect the great Mary River and its tributaries with the prospect of the proposed Colton Coal Mine getting the nod from the Queensland Government and Tiaro Coals future plans. Well done guys and keep up the hard work!
